guys…horrible question; did Catherine give Frederick an enema? I was confused when she let him eat food the night before his surgery and then said that it “would all have to be gotten out of me in the morning.” I thought she meant he would have to use a bedpan. But then the horrors. The horrors. “Not much. But quite unpleasant.” The horrors. Things finally clicked when she said, “There, darling. Now you’re all clean inside and out.” She did not want anyone else giving him an enema because she is possessive like that. Is this what love is? In a way, it is, I guess. It just occurred to me that some of you do not know what enemas are. I am sorry. Post-enema flirting is crazy. and he was rip-roaring ready to go do the hank panky afterwards. they are both so weird.

Oh, you are not wrong, sister. Good reading. And your tags are absolute gold.
This begs the question: does part II of the book fulfill Catherine’s fantasy of being a sexy nurse caring for her wounded lover like she wished she could’ve done for her dead fiance?
Yes absolutely. It’s not exactly the picturesque wound that she imagined for her dead fiance, but that’s certainly not stopping them from getting it on
First of all, thank you for explaining to me in real life what an enema was. And oh, the horrors indeed. The way you described it was really funny. Agreed that they are both weird
